Kelly penned the track “Bump Bump Bump” for B2K which peaked at number one on the Billboard charts for a week straight. He also wrote and produced “What a Girl Wants,” and “Girlfriend.”

The group announced a reunion tour back in December, but now many fans are wondering why they won’t retire R. Kelly’s songs before the tour ends.

“Unbelievable so you gone profit off the mans work what type of stance is that?” one person tweeted in response to Omarion.

“Nope! Disappointed. I was so excited to see this tour. But absolutely not supporting your ‘get money and THEN I’ll give a hell no’,” said one fan.

“This is a (expletive) joke! Make money off the songs R Kelly wrote, first, then join the movement?!?! So you sir are also part of the problem. Pick a stance and be courageous enough to stick to it,” one person wrote on Instagram.

“‘But first I’m gonna get this bag’ is basically what he’s saying,” wrote another.

*20 years ago, famed defense attorney F. Lee Bailey helped O.J. Simpson beat murder charges. Now, with Simpson a free man after serving nearly a decade for a Nevada robbery and kidnapping case, Bailey opens up about how his former client has been treated by the media.

In an appearance on the “Morano Whenever” podcast on Thursday, Bailey accused Hollywood Jews of pushing anti-OJ narratives since being acquitted for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.

Here’s what Bailey had to say to host and radio personality Frank Morano:

I’m sorry to say, there is on New York’s publisher’s row a policy now, if you publish anything about O.J. and it’s favorable, it won’t sell and we won’t push it. And in Hollywood, if you do a portrayal that’s favorable to O.J. Simpson we won’t fund it. So some of the people who claim that most of their lives they’ve been subjected to horrible kinds of prejudice, and indeed extermination during World War II, are now behaving in exactly the same totalitarian spirit by suppressing the one thing this country has to be proud of when all is said and done, and that’s an unfettered free press. And they have done it within the corporate structure without ever causing a court to take a look at it.

Listen to this particular part of the audio at the 30:25 point in the player below.

Bailey went on to say that the only people who speak poorly of O.J. are those who get their information from the media. People who watched the whole Simpson murder trial “don’t disparage O.J.,” he said. “Other than Fred Goldman.”

He is also totally convinced that O.J. was innocent and here’s Bailey’s theory about the double homicide case (per Town&Country):

Faye Resnick, Nicole Brown Simpson’s frequent houseguest, who happened to be holed up in rehab for cocaine addiction on the night of the murder, was the intended target of a drug-related hit. His investigators heard rumors that Resnick owed drug dealers $30,000, a theory the defense introduced in the trial.

“We think the killers came to look for Faye Resnick, who was also blond, and, typical of hitmen, they were dumb enough to mistake Nicole for Faye Resnick.”

Bailey has previously shared how his life went left following the Simpson trial, including a bankruptcy and being disbarred.

As reported by Law and Crime, in Thursday’s podcast, Bailey said his role in the Simpson trial was “the bedrock reason why the government … went after my license.”

*Hmm, you have to wonder just WHAT is going on between estranged couple Keyshia Cole and Daniel “Booby” Gibson. We’re pondering that thought because they are still legally married.

So what’s the problem with that you ask? Because Cole filed for divorce in 2017 and since then, nada.

The bottom line is that Cole has been warned by a judge to hurry up and finalize her divorce from Gibson, a former NBA player with Cleveland Cavaliers and Sacramento Kings, or the case will be dismissed and they will remain married, reports The Blast.

Seeing as how they’ve both been in various relationships with other people since their split, the news from the court SHOULD scare Cole or even Gibson to get ta crackin’ and make that move!

This is all coming to light because a few days ago on January 10, court documents were filed in the case informing Cole and Gibson to update the court of the status of their case. That’s because neither party has filed a single document in the case since October 2017.

As we reported back in September of 2017, that’s when Cole filed for divorce. At the time she cited irreconcilable differences as being the reason and listed the date of separation as October 31, 2014 (rumors first surfaced of them splitting in 2014 but neither side ever actually filed until 2017).

Keyshia Cole requested joint legal and physical custody of their son, Daniel Gibson Jr.

Gibson filed his response to the divorce months later, which was the last update in the case.

Cole and Gibson jumped the broom in 2011.

*Eddie Levert’s son, Gerald, passed away in 2006 from an accidental overdose of various medications. 14 months later in March of 2008, his other son, Sean, reportedly died from withdrawals from Xanax, while in police custody for non-payments of child support, per I Love Old School Music.

Fans have been wondering how Eddie and his ex-wife, Martha, (Sean and Gerald’s mom), have been coping since then.

Eddie opened up to The Plain Dealer and Ebony a few years ago about life after the death of his son. Below are excerpts from those interviews via ILOSM.

If it wasn’t supposed to be, it wouldn’t have happened. I wish I could tell you that I had a sense of why, but I don’t. I still wonder: Was it something I did? Maybe that’s why I’ve made so many changes in my life, to better myself and try to be a better father, a better husband, a better friend. Maybe that’s the reason why: for me to come to a better place. But I can’t dwell on it. It becomes very emotional for me. It gets to a place where . . . [he pauses and his voice cracks] … I really miss them. It’s just hard. But I can’t get caught up in the fact that it wasn’t supposed to be like this, because it happened.

How He Copes (Via TPD):

I read the Book of Job. He lost everything. I didn’t lose everything. I lost two sons. It’s not trivial. But compared to somebody who lost their whole family — do you understand? — I was left something. God is still great. I kept praying to God, and God kept giving me strength. I had days when I blubbered like a baby, just crying. I still have those moments. But I have a purpose now.

“The music has always been healing. With Gerald and Sean, the times we had together onstage are some of the greatest moments of my life, man. The times that I was onstage with them doing ‘Casanova’ or ‘Baby Hold on to Me’ or ‘Wind Beneath My Wings’ — to me, those are priceless.

Even now, when I go and perform those songs by myself, they’re medicine. The most therapeutic time I have in my whole life is that hour and a half that I do onstage.

Because for an hour and a half, I don’t think about nothing but the music. Don’t think about the pain in my knees. Don’t think about the pain in my back. Don’t think about how I feel bad. All of that goes away as soon as I start doing that music.

On His Regrets (Via Ebony)

When Gerald and Sean passed away, I wanted to really blame myself because I felt like it was some things I could’ve kept them from seeing that I did in my life, as a father. You know what I’m saying? People say, ‘You’re a great dad,’ and all of that, but I’m a person, too, you know?

I used to take them on the road with me, because it was my wife’s chance to get her break. I’d take the kids for the summer and she’d be able to get off into her ministry as being one of Jehovah’s witnesses. She was a great woman; she just had a rotten man. You know? And I can speak of that guy as being a rotten man because he didn’t know what he had and he didn’t know who he was or what he should’ve been doing. It was ignorance. I had to learn.

*Following the premiere of “Surviving R. Kelly,” many celebs took to social media to slam the artist, including John LegendChance The RapperMeek Mill and Omarion – but fans weren’t exactly feeling his statement.

The B2K singer said he’s ready to strike all the songs that R. Kelly wrote for the group … but only AFTER they profit from performing the tracks on their upcoming Millennium Tour.

“While I know our fans would be greatly disappointed if we didn’t perform those songs on #TheMillennoumTour, after the tour I am retiring those songs from my set list,” he tweeted. “I too am raising a future queen.”

*Regarding our earlier story today  about Keyshia Cole needing to finalize her divorce from Daniel Gibson before it gets dismissed, Cole is reacting.

The singer says she’s ready. Been ready … to pull the trigger. However, she says, Gibson is the problem. She claims he is deliberately making things difficult for her.

It seems she has yet to reach an agreement with her estranged husband since October 2017. A month earlier, she had filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

Via a post on The Shade Room, Cole notes that Gibson is requesting spousal support and also full custody of their child together. This, as far as she’s concerned, is a non-starter. Period

“I am not giving him full custody nor no damn spousal support! And I’ve asked him over and over to do so, the ball is in his court,” Cole responded.

OK, so we guess that means she is not going to finalize the divorce and will remain married to Gibson.

And your thoughts on this matter are?

Moving along … in other news regarding Madame Cole, she is basically agreeing with Master P’s statements with regard to the sex allegations against R. Kelly. And that is … hold the parents responsible, too.

in a series of tweets, she made clear that she wasn’t dismissing Kelly’s actions, but there needs to be some accountability held up against his victims’ parents as well. Her priority (at least until the child turns 18) is protecting her own, something she suggests the parents fell short of. After getting negative feedback from her comments/posts on the on IG in The Shade Room, she’s not backing down to those coming at her on Twitter, either.

*Following the premiere of “Surviving R. Kelly,” many celebs took to social media to slam or distance themselves from the artist, including Lady Gaga John Legend, Chance The Rapper, Meek Mill, Omarion and most recently Mathew Knowles.

The former manager of Destiny’s Child says he and ex-wife Tina refused to let the girl group work with R. Kelly, as they were aware of the rumors and sexual assault allegations.

via Metro:

The 67-year-old, the father of Beyonce and Solange, told us: ‘I was there, and my former wife Tina was there. The thing with R Kelly was, he liked to record late at night, around midnight. And what was different with his studio was that one room had a recording suite, and next door was a club, with 40 or 50 people dancing.

‘R Kelly was managed by Sony, by someone I won’t name, and at that time, they would almost force you to record with [their] artists. ‘And R Kelly wasn’t cheap – it was $75,000, plus travel costs, so we’re talking $100,000 for a song.

‘I personally rejected the song, because I didn’t think it was a good song. Not just because of [his] reputation – this was around 1998, we had just begun to hear some of those things.’

More from the publication:

However, when we asked Mathew if the rumours surrounding R Kelly played a role in his decisions from then on, he said ‘certainly, it was both of those things’.

The music manager said: ‘The girls were 15, 16. When they went to the bathroom, Tina would go with them. They did not leave our eyes.’

A source told Metro.co.uk: “Record labels would ask R Kelly to write songs for emerging artists as a way to help them break into the industry and he made several requests for Destiny’s Child. Mathew and Tina rejected all of them because they didn’t want him anywhere near the band which is why they are one of the few acts to debut in the 90s without an R Kelly song in its official discography.”

R Kelly wrote one song for Destiny’s Child, “Stimulate Me,” which appeared on the soundtrack for the 1999 Eddie Murphy film “Life.”

However, according to the report, Kelly was not in the studio when the girls were recording with producer Jermaine Dupri. Said a source: “Mathew didn’t want it on any official Destiny’s Child’s albums so it didn’t appear.”

*While accepting her best supporting actress Golden Globe on Sunday night, Regina King vowed to give women in Hollywood more opportunities to share their voices.

She made clear her mission to only work on projects going forward where at least half the crew are women.

The Emmy winner has now revealed that multiple industry players, including Tyler Perry, have reached out and praised her acceptance speech and her new Hollywood goals.

“[Producer] Bert Salke has [reached out], Tyler Perry, immediately, and those are just a couple of the men,” King told ET. “I haven’t even finished going through all my congratulations emails, so I’m sure there’s a couple of others.”

She also admitted to ET that some folks tried to convince her to pump the breaks on the speech because it was too bold.

[People have told me] that to take the risk of saying something like that and putting something on myself [like] that was too big,” King said. “I don’t feel like it is. I feel like it’s possible, and the reality is all I had to do was say it.”

ccording to the report, she then compared it to her directing career, which includes helming episodes of “Southland,” “The Catch,” “Scandal,” “Being Mary Jane” and “Greenleaf.”

“All I had to do was start saying it out loud, and the amount of support I got and people that helped find workshops and programs for me to go through to hone those directing skills, it happened as soon as I said it,” she explained.

“In the next two years, and it’s going to be hard, I’m making a vow that every thing I produce…[will be] 50 percent women,” she said. “And I challenge everyone out there who is in a position of power, in all industries, I challenge you to challenge yourself and stand with us in solidarity and do the same.”

The actress can currently be seen in Barry Jenkins’ adaption of the 1970s James “If Beale Street Could Talk,” for which she has received several nominations and multiple smaller critics association awards, including in New York and Los Angeles, per PEOPLE.

*Former ESPN “SportsCenter” anchor Jemele Hill will launch a podcast exclusively on Spotify, titled “Unbothered.”

“I have a lot of things to say, and there’s not a lot of platforms that give you the freedom to not just be thoughtful but to come with a realness that not everyone is prepared to accept,” said Hill in remarks at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The Emmy Award-winning journalist spent 12 years at ESPN before she announced her departure in September. She pissed off many on the right when she tweeted that “Donald Trump is a white supremacist who has largely surrounded himself w/ other white supremacists.” Two days later, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders called the remarks “a fireable offense” and “one of the more outrageous comments that anyone could make.”

Spotify’s Studios head Courtney Courtney Holt isn’t worried about any potential controversy.

“At the end of the day, we want to enable creators to have a platform to speak their minds,” he said. “It’s about enabling creators like Jemele to do what they do best. It’s not an effort to go after controversial topics. It’s making sure it’s an authentic voice that wants to be heard.”

Hill plans to tackle sports and entertainment news with her podcast.

“Spotify and I are very like-minded,” Hill said in a statement. “We both believe in being bold and authentic. I am thrilled to get the opportunity to stretch myself in a much different way, with a support system that I believe will bring out the best in me. I look forward to sharing my perspective and experience with Spotify’s many listeners across the world.”

nd and she promises to be even more provocative than she is on social media.

“Probably more so, because I get to curse,” said Hill, who joined The Atlantic in October as a senior staff writer covering race, politics and culture.  “It’ll be an opportunity for me to be more unfiltered and more thoughtful about some things, and cover a wide variety of topics.”

Hill’s podcast will air twice a week, starting in March.

“Jemele is an important voice in sports, race, culture and politics, and their intersection in media,” said Holt. “She will bring her unique point of view to our platform with Unbothered, which is sure to be a favorite of listeners with diverse interests and viewpoints.”

THE VITAMIN D PARADOX IN BLACK AMERICANS

*The National Institute of Health found a remarkable paradox in the African-American community.. African-Americans had deficient or markedly low levels of vitamin D, but still had lesser incidences of osteopenia, fractures, or falls as opposed to white Americans.

Vitamin D is known to play a role in bringing about health benefits like good bone condition and strength. The significance of how vitamin D plays this role, however, is still not quite understood because a number of misconceptions have brought forward considerable levels of ambiguity.

First of all, vitamin D isn’t actually a vitamin. Vitamins consist of all those essential nutrients for humans that their bodies cannot produce on their own. This is why vitamins need to be obtained through diets. Vitamin D, on the other hand, was found to be produced naturally on mammalian skin due to the exposure to the sun.

Secondly, it was discovered that vitamin D does not directly contribute toward boosting bone strength and density and staving off bone loss. Instead of enhancing the bone function directly, vitamin D naturally converts into a pre-hormone inside which then circulates around in the blood and offers numerous health benefits.

Coming back to the study conducted by the National Institute of Health in the US, it was previously known that lower vitamin D levels increased the risks of osteopenia in the individual. This, however, in the recent findings only seemed to apply to Mexican-Americans and the white community. African-Americans, on the other hand, were markedly seen to have lower cases of osteopenia, fractures, and falls as compared to their white counterparts.

On the flipside of the coin, a BMC Proceedings report also found through their expert panelists that black Americans didn’t gain any skeletal benefits from high doses of vitamin D supplements. In the rest of the American population, however, high levels of vitamin D tend to bring about adverse effects in the respective individuals.

So should the black community celebrate or be worried? Well, neither. The BMC report also made a statement saying that factors such as environment, genetics, skin pigmentation, and adiposity contributed towards different skeletal health. None of these factors, on their own, could explain why this happens and why black Americans seem to be immune to bone-related disorders.

Maybe this question is the very key to finding the answer to improving overall bone health in various populations. Only time will tell.

*Dr Glory Van Scott has lived quite an eventful life as a performer, producer, singer, activist, educator and author of her powerful memoir “Glory: A Life Among Legends.” Glory’s book takes the reader from her early life to her dedication and career in the performing arts where she stood at the vanguard of a new vision of African-American dance and theater.

Born in Chicago, Glory’s parents Dr. and Mrs Thomas Van Scott instilled in her a love of education and the arts. Of African American/Choctaw and Seminole ancestry she is also a relative of Emmett Till whose famous murder in Money, Mississippi, shocked the world.

“I saw the controversial photograph of Emmett Till and the tears started to come down and the floodgate opened. After seeing that picture, I feel there is nothing more you can do to me. What is to be, will be, and I made up my mind I will not run from it.” recalled Glory who was inspired by the Negro Spirituals her mother sang and which she heard in church.

“In my home we had to stand up and read. When I was 5 or 6 years old I was already into the music and dance that is the life bread of any artist and I knew deep down I was an artist. I had the strength that comes from spirit. It was the power that motivated me to pursue the arts. I went to the cultural arts center which had a library. I would go and listen to the stories read by the librarian. I was acting, singing, dancing and performing a lot so was noticed by one of my teachers who told me that once I went to NY not to come back because she recognized my place was in the theater and New York was the best place to hone my craft,” recalled Van Scott.

Glory had watched Talley Beatty perform and decided she wanted to dance. She attended the Abraham Lincoln Center where she met Paul Robeson and Charity Bailey. She spend summers in the Ethical Culture Camp in NY. First. Van Scott went to the Martha Graham School of Dance but their technique did not interest her. Someone suggested she go to the Katherine Dunham School and when she did, Glory felt she belonged. Eventually, she auditioned for the “House of Flowers” a play choreographed by George Balanchine. She got the job. In that show was Jeffrey Holder, Louis Johnson, Carmen de lavallade, Alvin Ailey, Arthur Mitchell, etc.

Having met Cicely Tyson at the Society for Ethical Culture’s Encampment for Citizenship, Cicely referred Van Scott to Actress Vinette Carrol who mentored Glory for a time in the theatrical arts. Although Glory was a principal dancer with Katherine Dunham, Agnes de Mille and Talley Beatty ‘s dance companies she also did some modeling for the Wilhelmina Agency. She went on to join the American Ballet Company. Eventually appearing in “Kwamina,” ‘The Great White Hope,” “Billy No-Name” and “Rhythms of the Saints.” She also played the Rolls Royce Lady in the 1974 film, “The Wiz.”

Always the scholar, Glory went on to earn her B.A., and Master’s Degrees from Goddard College, eventually acquiring her Ph.D. From Antioch College’s Union Graduate School. Her love of theater prompted her to teach theater at Bucknell University’s Pennsylvania School for the Arts for 10 years. She also taught Theater as Social Change at Fordham University. A Breadloaf Writer’s scholar she composed eight musicals including “Miss Truth” eventually founding Dr Glory’s Youth Theatre. Her children’s book,“Baba and the Flea” was published by Lippincott in 1972.

Van Scott coordinated Katherine Dunham’s Devine Drum Beats and produced The Katherine Dunham Gala at Carnegie Hall for WNET’s Dance in America as well as the 2003 Tribute to Fred Benjamin at Symphony Space. She was artistic coordinator for the Alvin Ailey Company’s “The Magic of Katherine Dunham” and co-produced the National Black Touring Circuit with producer Woodie King, Jr. of New York Dance Divas. Immortalized in bronze by Elizabeth Catlett in 1981, she was awarded the Katherine Dunham Legacy Award in 2002.

Interested parties can find Glory Van Scott’s latest book “Glory: A Life Among Legends” on Amazon.

*As the new year rolls onward, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, who is now the first Black and the first woman to chair the House Financial Services Committee, is not holding back on her criticism of Donald Trump.

On Sunday, Waters took to Twitter to warn 45 that “even your most vocal defenders will turn on you w/ your shutdown when there’s no food on the table, the rent is not paid, the car is repossessed, & the childrenTru need shoes.”

“No American who works for our govt should be treated this way while you are living off the govt,” she added.

Trump and Congress, meanwhile, continue to make history for all the wrong reasons as we enter the 24th day of the partial government shutdown.

“Trump, you didn’t get $5 billion to carry out your ill advised election promise & now you want to declare an emergency. The only emergency facing our country is the need to impeach you before you destroy our country, our ideals, & leadership in the world. Trump, go home. Bye bye!”

According to The Washington Post “Trump’s advisers are scrambling to build an exit ramp while also bracing for the shutdown to last weeks longer. Current and former aides said there is little strategy in the White House; people are frustrated and, in the words of one, ‘freaking. out.'”

Auntie Maxine also read Trump for filth over his alleged ties to Russia, writing: “Please. No one should wonder why Manafort gave polling data to Russians. The only reason Russians wanted this info was to use it against H. Clinton in support of Trump. Why do you think Manafort w/ all his ties to Russia & Ukraine was in the campaign to begin with? Stay woke!”

FBI officials questioned whether Trump was “acting at the behest of” Russia after he fired former FBI director James Comey in 2017, The Hill reports.

“No surprise the FBI questioned Trump’s allegiance to US! He meets w/ Putin 5 times in secret w/ no readout; gave Russians classified info in WH; disregarded US intel on Russia; praised Putin’s election; lies abt his deals in Russia. Is there any question Trump is a Russian agent?,” Waters wrote.

*A 51-year-old white male from Black Mountain, North Carolina, has gone viral in a disturbing video showing him assaulting a 12-year-old Black girl at the Asheville Mall.

David Steven Bell was arrested Saturday after punching the child in the face, sending her to the ground outside the mall. Bell was taken into custody by the Asheville Police Department and charged with assault on a female under the age of 12 and two counts of assault on a female, according to records and the Asheville Citizen-Times. The girl, who has not been identified, declined medical treatment and was not taken to the hospital. Bell, meanwhile, has been released from custody.

Video of the incident was posted on Instagram and Facebook on Saturday and quickly went viral on Sunday. In the video, Bell can be heard yelling to the girls to “break it up.” As other girls yell at him, one can be heard asking, “who is he?” What caused the argument remains unclear but at one point, one girl pushes Bell in the back.

The Asheville Mall said in a statement that the incident remains under investigation.

Journalist and activist Shaun King captioned the above clip of the incident on Instagram: “David Steven Bell, listed as 6 foot 5 inches tall, and 250 pounds, first shoved, then knocked out an 11 year old girl with a closed fist punch right to her face. Mall cops hardly took the thing seriously and local police charged the man with a damn misdemeanor. He’s already out. A misdemeanor. I’m furious.”

User lanreakinola replied: “@shaunking I am totally disgusted and this white man should never have punched the 11yr old girl with that force. On that note, why are our black children going out in public acting like they have no home training, disrespectful and unruly? What would have made her be in his face and physically charged a man (black or white) that size? This behavior is unacceptable and it speaks volume on the lack of home training, and decency our children need to emulate in public. The force used was too much but black or white, the man has a right to defend himself too.”

Another IG commenter, user yourmindmatters, wrote: “Everyone out there should have tore his azz up. Straight up. I don’t care what they had to use but his head should have got cracked. It’s a misdemeanor because she’s black and he’s white; had it been the other way around the black man would have gotten shot on site and that’s a fact. This world is just jacked up……”

According to heavy.com, after his arrest, Bell deleted a Facebook page for his piano teaching business.

The account, “@world_record_egg,” was on a mission to beat #KylieJenner, who was holding the “most-liked”
title until this weekend.

Kylie’s photo from last year of her thumb wrapped around her newborn baby daughter’s fingers nearly broke the social media site, with 18.2 million likes.

The egg picture currently has almost 25 million likes. “Let’s set a world record together and get the most like post on Instagram,” the post read. “Beating current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million). We got this!

The record-breaking picture was posted on January 4. The account itself has 2.5 million followers.

“This is a madness. What a time to be alive. Thank you so much for all of your support and messages, I’m gonna try and get back to as many of you as possible. But for now I need to sleep. It doesn’t end here though, we’re only just getting started. #EggGang. Mic drop.”

*French Montana has clarified his comments about R Kelly after initially appearing to support the R&B singer by saying he should be “allowed to enjoy his legacy”.

Since the broadcast of Lifetime’s “Surviving R. Kelly” documentary, criticism of Kelly has intensified as he continues to deny allegations of sexual assault and holding women hostage.

Speaking to TMZ, Montana said fans refuse to let controversial stars be great and “have their legendary moments.”

“They did Michael Jackson like that, they did R Kelly like that. All the greats went down like that. Let somebody enjoy their legacy. Whatever happened, happened, man.”

As expected, the backlash to his comments was swift and Montana was forced to follow up in a statement via Twitter, saying that he supports the victims of sexual assault.

“Let me be clear, my heart is with the victims,” Montana wrote. “I never thought the people I looked up to as a kid, who sang and danced and gave me hope to become a superstar would become drug addicts, child molestors and rapists. I am hoping we as a culture create better leaders. We need them.”

R. Kelly has always denied the claims against him and last week his lawyer, Steve Greenberg, told Associated Press: “The allegations aren’t true because he never knowingly had sex with an underage woman, he never forced anyone to do anything, he never held anyone captive, he never abused anyone.”

As previously reported, Prosecutors in Chicago and Atlanta are seeking information from any potential victims or witnesses of the alleged sexual and physical abuse by the singer.

In related news, sources tell TMZ that Kelly’s label RCA/Sony will not produce any of his new music, nor will it put money behind any of his projects, and it will not release any additional music until the criminal investigations in Georgia are resolved.

Kelly is said to be pissed because he’s been in the studio recording new music to fulfill his RCA contract … which requires 2 new albums, the report states.

Meanwhile, as the fallout from the docuseries continues, a concert that was to take place in Springfield in April and hosted by Kellz will reportedly be scrapped due to security concerns following the #muteRkelly protests.

The estate of this permanent A++ list musician has been very busy behind the scenes recently. They are spreading a lot more money around to buy favorable PR, which is currently in the works. *On Tuesday, Nov. 13, The Real welcomes back guest co-host White House Correspondent, Washington Bureau Chief of American Urban Radio Networks and CNN Political Analyst April Ryan. April has a lot to say about the lawsuit filed today by CNN against the Trump administration for revoking correspondent Jim Acosta’s press credentials.

The hosts also discuss former First Lady Michelle Obama’s revealing new memoir and Serena Williams’s GQ Woman of the Year cover – is it insulting or artistic that “Woman” is in quotes?

And New York City week continues as The Real shouts out to Dolla Holla Back contestants!

April Ryan Weighs In on CNN’s Lawsuit Against The White House

April Ryan Weighs In on CNN’s Lawsuit Against The White House

April Ryan: I think CNN is doing the right thing… if you remember…

[The Real audience applauds]

April: Yes.

Jeannie Mai: Way to stand up for reporters; way to stand up for your people.

April: Yes. If you remember… Friday, the president talked about Jim Acosta and then I wasn’t even there and he brought my name into it…

Loni Love: Right.

April: Without even being there, as saying that I could have my press credentials pulled, because we ask the questions. What the White House wants to do is dictate what kind of questions we ask. They want to dictate – I say that word strategically – on the real. When you ask questions of a president, it’s about issues facing the day, or issues of the moment, and I have been under fire in that administration since I asked the question in January, “Mr. President, are you a racist?” You know? That suit covers all of us. But when the White House comes at us in the way that they came after Jim, you know, stripping his pass, and then issuing a propaganda video. That video was doctored. That video – Jim Acosta did not assault that young woman, who snatch – tried to snatch the mic from him. Jim Acosta did not assault that woman. And when the White House – not Russia, not China, but the White House – issues a propaganda video, that’s saying something. And you have to remember – the First Amendment is about Freedom of the Press.

[The Real audience applauds]

April: But! When we talk about Freedom of the Press, and stripping and possibly stripping credentials, it’s not about us it’s about you. When they oppress us. When they suppress us, they suppress you. You don’t get the information that you deserve and that you need.

*Ever since the movie “How Stella Got Her Groove Back” was released twenty years ago, women everywhere have flocked to Jamaica trying to find their own versions of an island paradise. And rather than bring sand to the beach she leaves her man at home – if she has one – opting to travel alone or with her girlfriends.

Although my mother and I travel together frequently, this year I went without her. In July I went to Bali, Indonesia alone. Even though I almost ended up in China by accident, I had a great time.

In September I went to Cairo, Egypt alone, my first trip to Africa. During my nine days abroad I took a seven-hour bus ride through Egypt to scuba dive in the Red Sea. I hired a personal tour guide to show me around Cairo. And when I wasn’t with him I walked or took taxis everywhere I wanted to go. I had such a great experience I plan to go back in the near future.

So a few weeks after my return home when I read an article about two Detroit women who were raped at gunpoint while on vacation in Jamaica, the news caught my attention. It was just the latest reported crime of women who were robbed or raped while on vacation there. Reports claim it’s gotten so bad Jamaica is ranked the third most dangerous country for female travelers. Cairo was ranked the most dangerous place for women to travel. When I read that my mouth fell open! I just left Cairo and I couldn’t have had a better time.

Another woman suggested that I vacation in Cairo because she too had a great experience. None of the sites I researched during my vacation planning warned against traveling to Cairo. Sure there were a few reports about social unrest in certain parts of that country, but nothing to make me feel unsafe.

When it comes to safety, America should be posting its own alerts warning travelers about the rise in gun violence, since people are getting gunned down at worship services, the grocery store and even at home minding their own business, but I digress.

Here are some things I do to increase my chances of having the best time while traveling: I plan ahead as much as possible for my hotels, transportation and excursions. You get the best deals online and can do cost comparisons without on-the-spot impulsive spending, and you can read customer reviews to choose the best and safest locations. I let trusted friends and family know my itinerary so they know where to start looking if I come up missing and I keep in touch with them throughout my travels. Everybody else – so my home won’t get burglarized while I’m away – will find out details after I return. Although I’m friendly to locals and other travelers, where I’m staying and who I’m traveling with is none of their business. I don’t do drugs or get drunk or hang out at night, so that makes me much less likely to be seen as a potential victim. My idea of fun is doing extreme activities while on vacation. That and the fact that I’m 5’11”, physically fit and it would take at least two people to try to force me to do anything I don’t want to do keeps opportunists at bay. Don’t start none, won’t be none!

I love to travel, experience new cultures and build memories along the way. And I would advise you to do the same. I’m not about to stop living my life based on somebody’s random ranking of dangerous locations. What I’ve always done and will continue to do is practice common sense safety habits, especially while vacationing in a strange place.
